So, by now you should know. After much deliberation, we’ve decided to move to New Zealand! Auckland, specifically.
After nearly two years in Chicago (filled with many adventures with great friends…and pizzas), Brett graduated from a Nielsen leadership program and accepted a position across the world. With less than two months to go before his July 18 start date, we had to move quickly. We sold our collection of five year old Ikea furniture (good riddance!), donated carloads of accumulated junk to Goodwill, packed only our most treasured possessions (read: wedding gifts) into a Uhaul, and headed East towards Virginia.
With a pile of boxes stored safely in his parents’ basement, Brett made the rounds saying goodbyes to East Coast friends and family. And then he was on a plane. Headed far away from me.
But the Millers will be back together soon! First we have to pass the test of 64 days apart, with a 16-hour time difference. In the meantime, I’ll be busy finishing up my job at UBM Americas from Virginia, and then will board the same flight just months later. September 20, where are you?
